Ségolène Royal tightens the hand with Francois Bayrou

The candidate of the PS, Segolène Royale, proposes a " open and public dialogue" with Francois Bayrou on the "values" to seek "convergences" for the 2nd round of the french presidential election. "It is necessary to hear what the voters said", she declared on Europe 1 radio. Ségolène Royal was in meeting Monday evening in Valence in the Drome region.

At the following day of the 1st round of presidential, Ségolène Royal proposes with Francois Bayrou to seek "convergences" on the "values" and proposes to the third man of April 22 a "open and public dialogue" "to build together the future of the country" after the presidential one. "Each one must take its responsabilities to know which France we will build. Today I take mine and I state myself available to speak about the future of France with all those which (...) wish the change and the political restoration ", declared the candidate socialist with the press before its first meeting of interval turns in Valence. The president of the Poitou-Charentes area thanked the other left-wing candidates for having announced that they supported it for the second turn, but "to save France it is necessary to ask another dimension our gathering". This call is thus addressed to the president of UDF, "if Francois Bayrou wishes this tended hand and this dialogue around the presidential pact". Ségolène Royal called with a debate "without ulterior motives, a priori" on the restoration of the political life, an impartial State, the "refusal of the tensions in the cities and districts" and "the revival of Europe". It specified that Ségolen left a telephone message with Francois Bayrou to prevent it "by courtesy" of the imminence of its declaration. It acts neither of a "ultimatum" nor of a "pressure" exerted on the centre candidate, it ensured. And if this last accepts and that an agreement is found, it will draw "all from them the consequences".

In meeting in Valence Monday evening, Ségolène Royal proposed "to build together France new" and "gathered". Decided at the last minute, this first meeting of its second round campaign gathered 5.000 people all howling almost without stopping of the "Ségolène president" song. She invited the voters to refuse "Europe with Berlusconi’way of life" whom prepares, according to her, Nicolas Sarkozy. The former president of the Italian Council gave his support for the UMP candidate.
